Urban Impact by John Thompson

After almost 30 years living and serving the Lord in the inner city of Chicago John Thompson has written Urban Impact, Reaching the World Through Effective Urban Ministry, published by Wipf and Stock, a Christian academic publisher.

John states: "My objective was to produce a book that is both practical, with many real life illustrations, and at the same time include the academic information necessary for classroom use."

Published in November, 2010 it is expected that this book will be used widely in Christian colleges and seminaries as a textbook for urban and mission classes. Written endorsements from twelve professors of urban ministry are included at the beginning of the book and on the web site.
